Every year on March 21, there is a celebration that symbolizes joy, peace, new beginnings—in short, many beautiful things. To commemorate this day, people often give yellow flowers as a symbolic gift.
To create my own personal symbol for this occasion, I’ve made a decorative pendant using the quilling technique to create a beautiful yellow flower.

Cada año el 21 de marzo hay una celebración que representa alegría, paz, nuevos comienzos en fin muchas cosas hermosas, las personas para conmemorar en día como símbolo regalan flores amarillas.
Para realizar mi propio símbolo personal en esta fecha, les traigo un colgante decorativo realizado en la técnica de quilling de una bonita flor amarilla.

• Cintas para quilling.
• Aguja para quilling.
• Plantilla para moldear círculos.
• Cartulinas.
• Guillotina de cortar papel.
• Argolla de bisutería.
• Cristales de bisutería.
• Pega blanca extra fuerte (de carpintería).
• Pincel.
• Tijera.
• Colgante de tu preferencia.
• Quilling paper.
• Quilling needle.
• Circle template.
• Cardstock.
• Paper cutter.
• Jewelry jump ring.
• Costume jewelry crystals.
• Extra-strong white glue (woodworking glue).
• Paintbrush.
• Scissors.
• A pendant of your choice.
• Start by taking a 3mm-wide light yellow quilling strip. Use the needle to roll the strip until you reach the end, then remove the needle and loosen it slightly to form an open circle. You’ll need 6 identical circles.
• Take a circle, apply a small amount of extra-strong white glue from the center downward, and use a needle to press the center down toward the bottom where you applied the glue. Hold it in place until it dries. Repeat this process with each circle.
• Now take the circles and shape them into leaves.
• Vamos a comenzar tomando cinta para quilling de color amarillo claro de 3mm de ancho, con la aguja enrollamos hasta llegar al final de la cinta, sacamos dea aguja soltamos un poco para conseguir un círculo abierto. Vamos a necesitar 6 círculos iguales.
• Tomaremos el círculo, aplicaremos un poco de pega blanca extra fuerte del centro hacia abajo, con una aguja bajaremos el centro hacia la parte de abajo donde aplicamos la pega, sostenemos hasta que seque. Haremos los mismo con cada circulo.
• Ahora tomaremos los círculos y los moldearemos en forma de hojas.
• Take each leaf and pinch the top with your finger to shape each petal.
• Arrange them in groups of three, then join the two groups together to form the flower.
• Tomaremos cada hoja y pellizcaremos arriba con el dedo para darle forma a cada pétalo.
• Pagaremos en grupos de 3, luego unimos ambos grupos y de esta manera tendremos formada nuestra flor.
• To make the flower’s pistils, use a darker yellow ribbon that’s 9 mm wide. Use scissors to make vertical cuts, roll them up with a needle, secure them with extra-strong white glue, space the pistils slightly apart, and place them in the center of the flower.
• To harden and protect the flower, I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue, letting each layer dry before applying the next.
• I decorated it by placing several jewelry crystals on the petals.
• To finish, I attached a jewelry ring and added the pendant of my choice.
This is how I completed this decorative yellow flower pendant using the quilling technique.
• Para hacer los pistilos de la flor tomaremos cinta amarilla más oscura de 9mm de ancho, con una tijera haremos cortes en vertical, enrollamos con la aguja, sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte, separamos un poco los pistilos y metemos en el centro de la flor.
• Para endurecer y proteger la flor, apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejando secar entre una capa y otra.
• Decore colocando varios cristales de bisutería en los pétalos.
• Para finalizar coloqué una argolla de bisutería y le puse el colgante de mi preferencia.
De esta manera finalice este colgante decorativo de una flor amarilla, en la técnica de quilling.
