Hello, everyone!

Inspired by cats, I made these three cute miniature kittens. I’m still practicing shapes, forms, methods, techniques, and tools—what I find most challenging are the small details and controlling my fine motor skills. I think these practice sessions also help me a lot as fine motor exercises.

I mixed up colors and sizes. I’m thinking about buying some measuring spoons—they’ll be really helpful when we’re working on the same piece and want them all to be the same size.

I’m by no means a pro at sculpting figures, but I have fun doing it and enjoy sharing my work. The final step for each piece is to apply UV resin after they’ve dried completely—something I avoid because I’m allergic to it. I think we can use other methods to add shine; I’ve used cold resin like nail polish—it doesn’t provide much shine, but they still turn out pretty.

I hope you like them.

Black Kitten:

Shape a small ball out of black foam. Flatten it with a bottle cap.

Use a template to cut out a crescent shape. Squeeze the little ears a bit to close them up a little more if necessary.

Shape two small balls of white foam for the eyes and a small oval-shaped piece for the nose.

Flatten the eyes and then, using glue, attach them to the kitten’s face; then glue on the nose.

Bend the tip of the needle with a loop and apply glue, then insert it into the top center of the ears. Let the piece dry.

Use markers to add the details.

Gatito color gris:

Gray Kitten:

To get this color, mix a little black with white. Once you have the desired color, shape it into a small ball and repeat the previous steps.

Flatten the ball and use a cutting tool to create a half-moon shape. If necessary, press the ears slightly to close them or bring them closer together.

Use the embossing tool to mark where the eyes will go.

Apply glue and attach two black beads for the eyes.

Shape a small oval ball for the nose and glue it in the appropriate spot.

Bend the tip of the eye-ring needle and apply glue to it; insert it between the ears so it can function as a pendant.

Let the piece dry. When it’s ready, add details with acrylic paint or, in this case, a marker.

Bendiciones.

Brown Kitten:

Following the previous steps, now shape a small ball out of brown foam.

Flatten it with a lid and, using a cutting tool, cut out a half-moon shape. Then, if necessary, squeeze the ears together slightly to bring them closer.

Shape a small white ball for the muzzle and a small pink oval for the nose.

Flatten the white piece and glue it to the kitten’s face, followed by the nose.

Use the embossing tool to make an indentation where you’ll glue the beads as eyes.

Bend the tip of the eye pin and apply glue, then attach it between the ears.

Once the piece is dry, you can add details using markers or acrylic paints.

Also, remember that adding some glitter is optional—it will give it a nicer finish.

I hope you like it. Blessings.
