Hello to all my Hive friends... 🐱
Today I’m going to continue with a collection I’ve been working on of simple, decorative fruits that you can use in a variety of ways—to decorate boxes and bags, or turn them into charm pendants for necklaces, earrings, and other items.
Today I’m sharing a decorative banana made using the quilling technique.
Hoping you like it, I leave you my creative process:
Let's get started:😃
Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱
Comencemos:😃
• Cintas para quilling.
• Aguja para quilling.
• Pintura al frío metalizada color bronce.
• Pega blanca extra fuerte (de carpintería).
• Pincel.
• Tijera.
• Quilling paper strips.
• Quilling needle.
• Bronze-colored metallic cold-applied paint.
• Extra-strong white glue (woodworking glue).
• Paintbrush.
• Scissors.
• I started by taking a 3-mm-wide strip of yellow quilling paper. Using the quilling needle, I rolled the entire strip until I reached the end.
• Remove the strip from the needle, loosen it slightly, and secure it with extra-strong white glue. This will create an open circle. You’ll need 5 of these.
• Shape the 5 circles into half-moons.
• We’ll now glue all the pieces together to form the bunch.
• We’ll make another smaller open circle and shape it as shown in the image, then glue it to the top of the bunch.
• To add the finishing touches, we’ll use bronze-colored metallic cold paint and apply it with a brush to certain spots on the bunch.
And that’s how we finish this decorative banana cluster using the quilling technique.
