Thank you my friend. !ALIVE

Yes, truly beautiful. !ALIVE

That will do it. Nice and water tight! I think spring is going to be very hot and dry this year. I hope I'm right. !ALIVE

Wow! Some cracking frosty scenes in those pictures. Made me feel cosy in my arm chair by the fire. 😀. I love the shot of the frozen puddle. I haven't seen that since my childhood! Something has changed.

Yes, and I have a feeling we will have a hot dry spring this year. Lets hope so!

Thanks for the lovely snow scenery. We don't get snow like that any more. Not like in my childhood, when it was every winter but those days are gone. It's a mixed blessing though really as I hate the cold

Yes, the floor is one of my memories too. Also the smell. Indescribable but distinctive! Happy memories.

I know. It was sad when that store chain disappeared.

No problem, keep positive! !ALIVE

We are not out of danger of frost until mid spring really in these latitudes. It just takes a switch in the jet stream to bring in very cold continental or arctic air.

A very honest and thought provoking post. I think most of us have gone through a dark patch in our lives, I know I have! At the time it seems unending and there's no escape. Time is a good healer, but

I remember visiting with my grandmother as a very young boy. My mother worked behind the counter, and I recall the ceiling covered with hanging lampshades. 😀

Nice info! I have heard of 'Five and Dime' but was unaware of the connection to Woolworth. Very interesting. Thanks for your reply. !ALIVE

Thanks for the update and interesting news about the new tokens. 👍 !ALIVE

We certainly could do with a little spring sunshine! !ALIVE

It was much more impressive on the inside. Being built in modern times the red brick exteria was very plain but the was a complete contrast to the incredible main hall of softer colour stone. !ALIVE
