Goffs Park Tree trail : My Actifit Report Card: September 28 2026
Our town parks have tree trails to explore, so today I walked around Goffs Park and found some examples of these trees with their plaques.
The trees are numbered but I dont have any information regarding how and when this was done. Some of the plaques are beginning to show their age with grime and time passed.
First : the english oak.
During this walk I just approached the trees as I spotted them so they will be in no particular order.
Second : cedar of Lebanon.
A very impressive tree and found in many parks around the town.
Third : red buckeye.
This is an interesting tree and not a familiar one to me.
Fourth : common lime.
This tree is not looking good at all and is probably on it's last legs, or should I say last bark! 馃槅
Fifth : pine oak.
This one looks much healthier than the lime tree.
There have been many new saplings planted recently which is nice to see and fills in where there are gaps.
