Como artista profesional fui convocado para realizar una acción plástica en el portal de la Galería de Arte de la localidad.

Esta acción consiste en seleccionar de entre un número equis de obras aquellas que más se adapten al propósito de la muestra.

Ya puestos de acuerdo seleccionamos ocho trabajos que estarían respaldando la acción plástica, montadas en dos paneles.para que el público tenga una visión amplificada de mi universo pictórico y la acción no parezca un acontecimiento anacrónico en el contexto urbano.

With the works already in the indicated space, I mounted a piece of Craf paper on a piece of cardboard, and this, on an easel or tripod. And at the agreed time I began to make a figurative drawing with the central theme of the feminine universe.
It is really a profile of a woman's head, but with the hair replaced by allegories to the animal and vegetable world.
Para la realización de este trabajo utilicé unas barritas de carboncillo, tizas blancas y una crayola negra. Con estos mínimos materiales y trabajando en público viví una vez más la experiencia de pintar en la calle, e interactuar con un público móvil y heterogéneo, que lo mismo te hace un chiste, te da una sugerencia salvadora, que retrasa el cronograma en el trabajo con cuentos y otras distracciones.
For this work I used a few sticks of charcoal,
white chalk and a black crayon. With these minimal materials and working in public, I lived once again the experience of painting in the street, and interacting with a mobile and heterogeneous public, which makes you a joke, gives you a saving suggestion, or delays the schedule in the work with stories and other distractions.
Realmente el objetivo es ese: Interactuar y compartir en un escenario de ruptura con un espectador que se pone muy cerca del místico proceso de creación del artista.
Aunque no es la primera vez que participo en este tipo de actividad, cree mis propias expectativas sobre lo que podría suceder durante el proceso de trabajo.
The aim is really that: to interact and share in a breaking scenario with a spectator who gets very close to the mystical process of the artist's creation.
Although it is not the first time I participate in this kind of activity, I created my own expectations about what could happen during the working process.
La acción sería a la vista de todos porque el objetivo es pintar y a la vez interactuar con el público que circula por el área. La Galería está en un lugar céntrico y el portal al mismo nivel con la acera de la calle.
Y como el mapa no es el territorio, había calculado ciertos resultados en el uso del carboncillo, pero la interacción de este con el papeCraf (papel de bodega) me demostró otra realidad, y tuve que aplicar el plan B, y hasta uno C, para garantizar el objetivo propuesto.
The action would be visible to everyone because the aim is to paint and at the same time interact with the public circulating in the area. The gallery is in a central location and the doorway is at the same level as the pavement of the street.
And as the map is not the territory, I had calculated certain results in the use of charcoal, but the interaction of this with the papeCraf (warehouse paper) showed me another reality, and I had to apply plan B, and even C, to guarantee the proposed objective.
Es también verdad que en este tipo de actividad nunca se va a exigir un acabado refinado como con la obra de taller, pero si se obtienen obras con espontaneidad y frescura en la ejecución.
Siempre va a ser buena iniciativa, la de propiciar que este tipo de acción se realice fuera de las paredes de las instituciones. Que las obras y público se acerquen mutuamente en el camino de la percepción y la valoración del producto artístico.
It is also true that this type of activity will never demand a refined finish as with workshop work, but it will produce works with spontaneity and freshness of execution.
It will always be a good initiative to encourage this type of action to take place outside the walls of the institutions. That the works and the public come closer to each other on the path of perception and appreciation of the artistic product.
Pero realmente estás experiencias no deben suscribirse solo al marco de un evento como el de la semana de la cultura, que es una vez anual, aunque tampoco debe convertirse en una rutina que acabe con el espíritu, el misterio y la magia del arte.
De todas formas fue una mañana distinta en mi vida personal, en mi quehacer artístico, y en la dinámica social de mi pueblo.
But really these experiences should not be subscribed only to the framework of an event like the week of culture, which is once a year, but neither should it become a routine that kills the spirit, the mystery and the magic of art.
In any case, it was a different morning in my personal life, in my artistic work, and in the social dynamics of my town.
