Maria was the mother of a 5 year old boy, they lived far away from the city in a mud house with a tin roof, she did not have good economic conditions so sometimes she did not have enough to feed her little son, in spite of that she always had a positive attitude, with the desire to get ahead. Every morning she gave her child a smile and got up very early to get ready and go out to face the world.

A world full of people who do not care about helping others, many challenges and obstacles that for her were not impossible to achieve, since she only had to fight and move forward and not let herself be carried away by sadness. This low-income mother did not care if people talked bad about her and her son, the important thing was to defend herself and look for ways to support her son, for her luck she had a skill to make very nice bracelets of thread, she sold them in order to get some money.

Maria had to leave home very early every day with her son holding her hand, with the mentality that today will be better than yesterday, in search of her materials, precious and very striking stones and colorful threads to sit on the corner of the avenue to assemble them and offer her products, always keeping that smile and a charming look.

She would arrive every night very tired, since she had to walk with her son on her shoulders, her feet were very swollen from so much walking, her hands were sore from making bracelets and her back was very sore from the weight she was carrying. However, always happy and content, because he had some money in his hands, he knew that he had to manage very well, since he did not know when his next sale would be.

Juan, always accompanied his mother, to take care of her, to give her any support she needed and to be attentive to her. This little boy, after seeing how an older man cleaned shoes, decided to start doing it himself, but he only had a very old and dirty rag, even if he decided to start this adventure as a shoe cleaner.

Several days went by, Maria and her little son were doing well, they decided to save money to improve their work equipment, since it would help them a lot and improve their lives a little. The other children in the neighborhood, when they saw that Juan was working, almost always called him names, teased him and humiliated him, since he did not share with them.

Juan could not do anything, since he was very small, he only listened and let them tease him, he did not pay attention to them and continued with his activities. The mother only saw him from afar, she felt that pain and sadness for him, such a little boy and working, but because of the need they had she let him work, she thought that these are experiences and it is better for him to get some money than to be at home alone.

This little family, mother and son, after culminating that week of very exhausting work, of much effort, sacrifice and sweat, gathered all the money they had made during the week, they felt happy and very rich, since they had never had that amount of money in their hands. So that day they went to buy some food to prepare a delicious dinner at home.

The mother, I did it with much affection and love for you, my little one, seeing the face of happiness that her son had to eat that plate of food served on the table, so she could not stand the urge to cry. She was very happy, she was a hard-working mother who never gave up for a second. While they were eating and talking, she promised her son to give him a case to keep all the things he used to clean, she never told him the date, since she always had other important things to pay for, even so the promise was already there and at any moment she would fulfill it.

Juan stood up from his chair and went to his mother to hug her very tightly and tell her that he was very happy and proud of her for being the best mother in the world and for being a mother fighter, you have given everything to continue and get to where we are. At that moment he gave her a bracelet that he had made from all the stones that he had found on the road.

It was the best night this little family had spent in a long time, but they still had to keep fighting to survive and get ahead. Things were starting to improve, the mother was selling more than 20 bracelets a day, she was a very humble woman, but kind, she gave a smile to all the customers who approached her and did not show the poverty and sadness she had inside.

They continued to struggle and strive every day more, thus demonstrating that a mother can get ahead for her children, you do not need to be the richest or the poorest to care for and protect their children, when there is true love, we can all make it, you just need perseverance, dedication and love to see their children grow and give them the best.
