Mis primeras vacaciones inolvidables – Viaje para Cumana [ESP-ENG]

Navegando por este mundo de la plataforma, me encontré con esta iniciativa de las vacaciones inolvidables y de inmediato vinieron a mi cabeza miles de recuerdos, fotografías de cada uno de los momentos que he vivido y compartido junto a mi familia, primos, hermanos, abuelos y todos los que nos acompañaron en mis primeras vacaciones, tendría como dos años de edad en estas vacaciones. Gracias a las fotografías pude revivir esas vacaciones que pase en la ciudad de Cumana, estado Sucre, espero que disfruten y no se rían de las fotos.

Surfing this world of the platform, I came across this initiative of unforgettable vacations and immediately came to my head thousands of memories, photographs of each of the moments I have lived and shared with my family, cousins, siblings, grandparents and all those who accompanied us on my first vacation, I would be about two years old on this vacation. Thanks to the pictures I could relive those vacations that I spent in the city of Cumana, Sucre state, I hope you enjoy and do not laugh at the pictures.

Cada vez que mis padres planificaban las vacaciones eran para los meses de Julio o Agosto. Siempre era seguro salir de paseo, ya fuese unos días o semanas para así hacer algo distintos, ir a visitar a la familia y darnos ese baño en la playa, un baño que a muchos nos gusta hacerlo. La mayoría de las veces nos íbamos con parte de la familia, cada quien en su carro, era lo mejor, era muy divertido por el hecho de que nos íbamos parando en cada lugar para así ir admirando y conociendo lugares y por supuestos ir tomando las respectivas fotos y así no se hacían largas las horas de carretera hasta que por fin llegamos a la ciudad escogida para estas vacaciones. En esta oportunidad fue Cumana, una ciudad muy bonita, llena de paisajes hermosos y las mejores playas que he conocido.

Whenever my parents planned vacations they were for the months of July or August. It was always safe to go on an outing, whether it was for a few days or weeks to do something different, go visit the family and take that swim at the beach, a swim that many of us like to do. Most of the time we went with part of the family, each one in his car, it was the best, it was very funny because we were stopping at each place to admire and know places and of course to take the respective photos and so the hours on the road were not long until we finally arrived at the city chosen for this vacation. This time it was Cumana, a very nice city, full of beautiful landscapes and the best beaches I have ever known.

En Cumana nos encontrábamos con la familia y primos, ya que ellos tenían una casa frente de la playa, una casa grande ideal para pasar las mejores vacaciones, contaba con las mejores condiciones y para esos años estaba muy moderna. Lo más emocionante era cuando comenzaba a llegar la familia de Cumana y de otras ciudades, el reencuentro era lo más emocionante, todos se reían y compartían, eran la mejores fechas y nunca nos perdíamos unas vacaciones.

Me cuenta mi mamá que para mí era la emoción más grande ver ese mar tan grande y azul porque de inmediato pedía que me metieran en la playa, por ser tan pequeño me bañaba en una piscina que llenaban con agua salada, para mí era lo máximo, disfrutaba de esos ratos, pasaba todo el día jugando, corriendo por la arena, todo era mucha diversión y juegos.

In Cumana we met with the family and cousins, since they had a house in front of the beach, a big house ideal to spend the best vacations, it had the best conditions and for those years it was very modern. The most exciting thing was when the family from Cumana and other cities began to arrive, the reunion was the most exciting thing, everyone laughed and shared, they were the best dates and we never missed a vacation.

My mother tells me that for me it was the greatest emotion to see that sea so big and blue because I immediately asked to be put on the beach, because I was so small I bathed in a pool filled with salt water, for me it was the best, I enjoyed those moments, I spent all day playing, running through the sand, everything was a lot of fun and games.

El primer día de las vacaciones la familia se organizaba para comprar la comida, agua, refresco, chucherías y todas las cosas que fueran necesarias para estar tranquilo y no tener que estar preocupados. Después comenzaba la diversión, limpiar, acomodar y desempacar, organizar los grupos para ver quien le tocaba hacer la comida, son momentos únicos el compartir en familia. Mis tíos y mi papá se iban el final de la casa donde había una parrillera para jugar cartas, domino, mientras que mis tías y mi mamá se quedaban dentro de la casa jugando cartas, un juego que aún no entiendo. Mis primos, mi hermano y yo corriendo, jugando, y sobre todo haciendo los famosos castillos de arenas.

On the first day of the vacation the family would organize themselves to buy food, water, soda, snacks and all the things that were necessary to be calm and not have to worry. Then the fun began, cleaning, arranging and unpacking, organizing the groups to see whose turn it was to make the food, these are unique moments to share as a family. My uncles and my dad would go to the end of the house where there was a grill to play cards, dominoes, while my aunts and my mom stayed inside the house playing cards, a game I still don't understand. My cousins, my brother and I would run around, play, and above all make the famous sand castles.

En este tipo de reuniones familiares siempre había algo que hacer, muy pocas eran las veces que alguien se quedaba sentado, creo que solo cuando se comía y dormía, pero del resto todos hacían algo cocinar, bailar, hablar, jugar y los que estaban pendientes de los más pequeños, gracias a dios todos ayudaba, éramos unos bebes y requeríamos de un cuidado especial, sin embargo, mi mamá no se daba mala vida con nosotros dos y continuaba disfrutando de las mejores vacaciones en la playa, siempre que escuchaba que alguien lloraba salía corriendo.

In this type of family reunions there was always something to do, very few times were the times that someone sat still, I think only when we ate and slept, but the rest everyone did something cooking, dancing, talking, playing and those who were watching the little ones, thank God everyone helped, we were babies and required special care, however, my mom did not give bad life with us two and continued to enjoy the best vacation at the beach, whenever she heard someone crying she ran away.

En este primer viaje tuve la oportunidad de acostarme en mi primera hamaca, de verdad que fue toda una locura, me daba un poco de miedo por el hecho de que sentía que me iba a caer, no podía quedarme quieto y muchos menos sentarme. Varias veces me caí, llore, pero mi madre se acostaba conmigo y lograba que me quedara quieto hasta dormirme, hasta el sol de hoy prefiero dormir una cama que en una hamaca.

On this first trip I had the opportunity to lie down in my first hammock, it was really crazy, I was a little scared because I felt that I was going to fall, I could not stay still and much less sit down. Several times I fell, I cried, but my mother lay down with me and managed to make me stay still until I fell asleep, to this day I still prefer to sleep in a bed than in a hammock.

En las noches todos se reunían a compartir en familia, se hacía una cantidad enorme de arepas para todos, era un bochinche e incluso siempre había un vivo que se comía hasta dos arepas, sin embargo, eso no era motivo para molestarse, más bien le echaban mucha broma por comelón, se hacían más y lo mejor es que no había problemas en la cocina, ya que a todas les gustaba cocinar.

In the evenings everyone would get together to share as a family, a huge amount of arepas were made for everyone, it was a bochinche and there was always someone alive who ate up to two arepas, however, that was not a reason to get upset, rather they made fun of him for being a big eater, more were made and the best thing was that there were no problems in the kitchen, since everyone liked to cook.

Duramos casi el mes en esta casa de playa, tuve la oportunidad de conocer a muchos primos y familiares que yo no había visto en mi vida. Sin embargo, eso fue hace mucho tiempo y hoy no los recuerdo muy bien, otros se han ido del país, pero aún conservo ese recuerdo y espero pronto volverlos a ver y así compartir como en los viejos tiempo, lleno de muchas risas y diversión.

Una vez que mis padres decían regresarnos a casa, era la peor parte, ya que todos nos poníamos tristes, desanimados, empezar a guardar todas las cosas, no podía faltar ese último baño de playa. A pesar de la tristeza no íbamos con muchos recuerdos bonitos y buenos momentos hasta las próximas vacaciones familiares.

We lasted almost a month in this beach house, I had the opportunity to meet many cousins and relatives that I had never seen in my life. However, that was a long time ago and today I do not remember them very well, others have left the country, but I still have that memory and I hope to see them again soon and share as in the old days, full of laughter and fun.

Once my parents told us to go back home, it was the worst part, as we all got sad, discouraged, started to put all the things away, we couldn't miss that last beach bath. Despite the sadness we didn't leave with many nice memories and good times until the next family vacation.

Todo este escrito elaborado con mucho amor y cariño es gracias a mi madre, quien tuvo la dedicación de contarme todas esas vivencias y experiencias vividas en esas vacaciones. Después de grande fui varias veces, sin embargo, no encontré muchas fotos de esos viajes, ya que nadie estaba pendiente de tomar fotos, hasta que fuimos creciendo, ya eran otros planes, a veces se complicaba, ya tenemos tiempo sin ir a la playa, tengo unas cuantos años que no toco la arena de la playa y tomo agua salada como cuando era un bebe.

Además, me permitió recordar momentos de mi niñez, ya que tuve que buscar en todos esos álbumes de fotos que tenemos en casa para poder encontrar las fotos que les compartí, me reí muchísimo de mismo, de mis padres, todos hemos cambiado mucho, pero lo más bonito fue que me permito refrescar ese primer viaje que hice a cumana.

All this written with love and affection is thanks to my mother, who had the dedication to tell me all those experiences and experiences lived on those vacations. After I grew up I went several times, however, I did not find many photos of those trips, since no one was aware of taking pictures, until we were growing up, there were already other plans, sometimes it was complicated, we already have time without going to the beach, I have a few years that I do not touch the sand on the beach and drink salt water as when I was a baby.

Besides, it allowed me to remember moments of my childhood, since I had to look in all those photo albums we have at home to find the pictures I shared with you, I laughed a lot about myself, about my parents, we have all changed a lot, but the most beautiful thing was that it allowed me to refresh that first trip I made to Cumana.
