Feliz y bendecido día
Happy and blessed day
Creando recuerdos maravillosos e inolvidables juntos. La familia, lo más importante. Hasta la próxima.

Hello, friends of this wonderful community. I’d like to tell you that our family often looks for a time or an opportunity to get together—whether it’s a birthday, Mother’s Day, Christmas, or any other special occasion. This time, we wanted to take advantage of my sister’s visit; she lives in another city called Puerto Ordaz and came to spend a few days with us. So we found this perfect opportunity to make some hallacas as a family and enjoy them together around the table.
Honestly, friends, sharing time with family is the best thing we can do; experiencing that together is truly special. But since my sister wanted to eat some hallacas, we decided to make them ourselves so we could share them. To do this, we got organized two days in advance. So we met at my mom’s house to figure out what each of us would contribute and who would go out to buy the ingredients. We also agreed that the hallacas filling would be prepared the day before at my brother and sister-in-law’s house.
So, that Sunday we left very early for my mom’s house, because that’s where we were going to make the first hallacas of the year as a family. Everyone has their assigned task; well, that’s the idea—for everyone to participate: my mom kneads the dough, my sister cleans the banana leaves, my other sister and I roll out the dough, my sister-in-law fills them, and my niece ties them up; the men went out to buy beer, wine, soda, and bread. So everything was very organized, and once the hallacas were finished, we all had lunch together.
I’ll never tire of saying and affirming that spending time together as a family is the best thing we can do in this life; these are the moments we enjoy and that fill our hearts with joy. However, at these gatherings, I’ll always remember my loved ones who are missing, since some have left the country, some live in other cities, and others are no longer with us. That’s why these gatherings make me a little nostalgic, but I’m always filled with the strength to keep going and cherish every moment with those who are present. This time, my grandson and his mom, Nathaly, were there—they came to Cumaná this weekend.
That’s why it’s essential to remember that, in the end, a family is defined by the love that binds us together despite time and distance. That’s why I’m celebrating this moment, and as long as we have the chance to get together, we should celebrate life. So today I’m celebrating this reunion and these hallacas. Creating wonderful, unforgettable memories together. Family is what matters most. Until next time.
