I'm not exactly the kind of financial blogger. Crypto is just another tools for me to hold value. Monetary wise, I only believe crypto as a medium to carry fiat value. In a way, I believe fiat is ultimately the "exit" point for crypto.
It's the day of the month where I need to open my damn wallet and collect my interests. I have previously covered this topic about HBD savings with 20%. If you do it every month on time, collect your interests and compound it in your savings, you will ultimately get back a total amount of 22.9% return instead of fixed 20.
You see, there's a reason why the ROI is 20%. That's because of the inflation. This is a free money printing machine here, despite some of us had. invested substantial amount of Fiat currency into buying crypto. I'm not particularly referring to HIVE alone, it could be ETH, could be BTC, could be anything. Later somehow we found our way to buy in to HIVE, and started to blindly believe into the 20% return and forgot about the actual gateway is HIVE, not HBD.
HBD stands for hive backed dollar, which is set to backed by the dollar. This is exactly why the potential growst of crypto currency being limited by its counterpart, the fiat currency. No matter how high the value you saw on the crypto exchange, ultimately you will still need to convert it to dollars, don't you?
Sarcastically, I "is" very disappointed by the hive value dropped to today's value, but still, crypto is a religion. We're all bound to be gambling for something we're not sure what will happen in the future, aren't we? Here I am, a mediocre middle aged man trying to be an expert, parking my limit orders every month. Once in a blue moon, I'd still strike some good deals, grab and run, whilst collecting my savings interests. Will I ever be pulling up my pants, flushing my shit and vacating the toilet? Maybe, when the day you see ASEAN Hive loses a chunk of their delegation, you'll know either I'm fed up and left the crypto scene, or I'm dead, someone taken over active key 🤣
