Apparently, I haven't trying to understand what does dapper means. I used to have a few pair of jeans by the brand of Dapper but that's all I know before I was influenced by so much more other western and European brands.

Fast forward to the introduction of gulf war back in the early 90s. I spent tremendous amount of time collecting news paper cut out and collect them in a booklet. Back then, I am already baffled by how much money a war is burning through, and the amount of oil spill causes the heavy pollution that money can never reverse the effect.

It never occur to me that, weapon dealing is actually one of the biggest wealth transfer method, until I watch the movie Fifth Element. Quote:

Zorg on Destruction and Life

Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg: "Life, which you so nobly serve, comes from destruction, disorder and chaos. Now take this empty glass. Here it is: peaceful, serene, boring. But if it is... destroyed... [pushes glass off table] ...by creating a little destruction, I'm actually encouraging life. In reality, you and I are in the same business."

If you have seen several of my previous work, I'm a big fan of drawing the war machines, especially fighter jets(aside from the new 5th gen stealth fighters), A10 Warthog is one of the hardest in my opinion. I choose this to match the dapper theme, is because the A10 is known for its elegant BRRRT heavy rotary canon. It flew low and slow as close air support for ground crew, saving tons of Frontline crew dozens of times on many wars.

For today's work, I have included the devilish Rich Uncle Pennybags behind the A10 fighter jet. For every burst of canon these war plane shoot, there's money to be made(burn).

Commander Stinger towards Maverick

You don't own that plane, the taxpayers do!

And in the end, it's the same war that kills the taxpayers.

1. Laying down the A10

2. Filling up the detail

3. Adding Mr.Milburn Pennybags

4. Finishing with handle

I'm ending this post with a quote from one of my favorite Hong Kong movie【槍王 Double Tap】, starring the late Leslie Cheung:

Miu towards Rick

「槍唔會殺人,係人殺人。」(國語 / 英文原意:Guns don't kill people, people do.)

Found this movie uploaded on YouTube, if you're interested, before it gets taken down.
