For the first part of my life, I've been seeing this building probably more than I can remember. My school is a missionary school because of this St. Michael catholic church, and the teachers are usually those bishops that came to serve.
I was so tempting to tag #travelfeed, but thinking I have a quest to complete, which is the clarify race has absolutely nothing to do with religious. Especially talking about Malaysia, is a country that has different race lives together, sometimes it's really hard to differentiate race against religion.
I guess we're the one of the very few Chinese family to attend the Sunset mass today, I can see here, there are more Indians than Chinese definitely. What? You think Indian are destinated to convert to Christian/Catholic easier then Chinese? Indian has a cultural background as old as Chinese. For all you know, the old time Chinese story - Journey to the West, is partially based on a real story of a Chinese Prince converted himself into a monk and heading West to search for "the truth". And west to China is, India! Go and check out Buddha forehead, there's a red dot there and you have a better idea of where Buddhism came from.
Back to what I learn from the priest, even priest himself gotten confused, he said no matter you're Chinese, or Catholics, Indian (dude, he almost said Islam!). Chinese and Indian is an ethnic here locally are allowed to convert their religion, but the local Malay has no choice. They're born Muslim, and their identity card has a column written Islam in it. It is this type of stupid situation that drive people mistaken race has anything to do with their religion.
I'm glad to say, despite being the 3rd generation Chinese here in Malaysia, I have never forget any one moment in my life, my root is originally from China. Religion, is something we believe in our mind, where I truly believe it has anything to do with my soul, and my subconscious mind.

Apologize on the sourced image. You see, when you think it this way, religious indeed has nothing to do with ethnics or race. Bible is the only book that gotten translated into the most different langauge book around the world. I have no intention to question God's ability to listen to so many different languages of prayer, that simply because I trust that my God is a God because God does things that an ordinary earth people like you and me who couldn't comprehend. So, once again, who are we to justify which race should stick to which religion?
I'm glad my wife found me and continue to bring me to church, where I found more inner peace in myself when I'm attending mass, and fortunately me having a chance to show my kids around my primary and secondary school which I've spent 12 years in my life. I know this is the first day of Chinese Lunar New Year Celebration, but who said we can't spend few hours at church for religion purposes? I'm still a Chinese, and still visit my family and friends.
