Now here's what has been gripping my generation,
Here's what has been keeping people spiritually blind and impatient,
Here's what has been creeping in on them when they are sleeping,
Here's what has been burning in my mind, and releasing anger based emissions.
How can I know anything when everything is just an opinion?
How can I be anything when nothing is ever constant?
You wake up one day still believing in what you've always believed in,
And then you later realize you've just been reaping what they've been sowing.
Who am I to look up to, and who am I supposed to be trusting?
Who do I listen to when everybody keeps saying everything they feel is right?
Who am I supposed to follow when they are all busy fabricating theories that no one can disprove?
Who am I to disagree when greater men are making them?
Where do I get the truth, and where do I get the wisdom?
How do I sift through the bullshit, and how do I crack the system?
Are they selling me gods just like they've been selling their drugs?
Or are drugs the gods and the dealers the ones preaching?
Now don't go saying you ain't been on drugs or something,
Because a drug is anything that keeps you sedated.
Sugar, food, and what ever it is in that bottle you're sipping.
Even money, power, sex or religion.
A little too much and you'll be on the roof screaming.
A little too much and you'll be over crowd 9.
We've been brought into a world of people so co-dependent,
Maybe it's time you started being insistent.
To find your truth and stop piggybacking,
Stop needing peoples reality to be your fulfillment.
Personally I took it upon myself to disagree with what people believe in,
So that I know what I believe in is not just another religion.
Following with no questions and always agreeing,
How is that any way to live without even thinking.
So take it upon yourselves to ask questions next time you join a group or organization,
What exactly do you value?
What is your passion, and what is your vision?
Before you get sucked in and forget your own mission,
I say all this because I've lost people to this condition,
Forgive me if I offended you, but I don't believe in just watching.
