I decided I better empty out the containers next to my house as they were getting full. You see my next door neighbor sometimes has his friends over and they drink beer.
My neighbor likes to keep the plastic bottles and aluminum cans to turn in, but he doesn't want to deal with the glass beer bottles. So I take care of it for him.
So anyway it was a good idea to clean out the containers as when I was finishing, one of my neighbors friends came over with a case of beer in his hands.
Even though the friends know that I don't drink anymore they still try to get me to drink with them. I always tell them, thank you, but I don't drink anymore.
Sometimes they like to put their cigarette butts in the bottles. Well when I collect the bottles I pour out any residue beer and shake out any cigarette butts into another container.
Did you know that cigarettes pull vitamin C from the body? I have seen some of my co-workers when I used to work for the telephone company, some of them still smoke. I can tell that they age faster than them that don't smoke.
There was a friend that kept on smoking and I was trying to talk her out of smoking, but she told me that she enjoys her smoking. I remember one time after that she told me something about her wrinkles.
Yes, smoking will bring in the wrinkles faster than them that do not smoke.
I was lucky as when I was a kid I tried to smoke a cigarette butt that I found on the ground and found that it didn't taste good. So I never pursued it anymore. In high school I remember telling this story to one of the guys and he told me to try it again only use a fresh cigarette.
No, I knew people were getting unhealthy because of them and I didn't want to try it again. In high school I remember girls where smoking in an area for the smokers. It didn't make them look more grown up.
I remember seeing some of them at high school reunions. It looks like the cigarettes took their toll.
If one did still smoke the best thing to do is take a lot of vitamin C. I buy the powder vitamin C and mix it with water.
I just looked it up, they putt about 599 chemicals in cigarettes, but when they burn they turn to over 7000 different chemicals as the smoker breathes it in.
It sounds pretty bad. Why did they have to put the 599 chemicals in the cigarettes in the first place? Well, I would imagine to hook the smokers at his or her first try.
This reminds me of a movie I seen long a go, it was called, Thunder Alley, it was released in 1985. Well in the movie there was a good looking woman that seduced the guitar player and also wanted him to try some drugs. I think it was heroin.
The good looking woman was a drug dealer and she wanted the guitar player to get hooked, so she brought out a tray with the stuff and said the first one is always free. I think the guitar player left.
That good looking woman reminds me of a scripture, Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. Proverbs 7:27.
Isn't that what they always want you to do, try it, then after you are hooked they will ask for what ever price and they know you will come up with the money?
They always set the trap. Same thing with the cigarette, but to a lesser degree. It still kills you, but at a slower rate.
Let's end with a scripture, Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16.
