Does everybody like to drink coffee? I used to drink coffee a lot when I used to work at the telephone office. Until I seen a video of Suze Orman.
She was talking about how people that buy coffee everyday could have channeled that coffee money into a Roth IRA and after 40 years you would have a million dollars. So she suggests to make your own coffee at home and bring it to work.
In those days at the telephone company I would pay 50 cents for a vending machine coffee in the morning first break and another 50 cent coffee for lunch and a 50 cent coffee for my last break. Well, that is $1.50 every work day.
I think Suze Orman was talking about a person that would buy a Starbucks Coffee everyday that would cost anywhere from a $1.50 to $3 a day. Well I guess my coffee habit was still in that range.
So at that time I decide I would not drink coffee anymore. I would just drink water.
Then every now and then I would buy some dollar tree ground coffee for a dollar, but lately the dollar tree store doesn't sell ground coffee.
Also one Christmas my youngest sister gave me a coffee dripper thing that holds a paper filter.
So every now and then I may make myself a cup of coffee. Then I heard that coffee was actually good for you. Yes, drinking coffee will give you a lot of antioxidants.
Well, knowing that made me want to drink coffee more. Sometimes I find a sale of coffee beans at my favorite store called, Curry's, but they don't always have coffee. They are a discount store with some really good deals sometimes.
So I still wanted to buy some coffee. I find that $5 a pound of coffee beans is a pretty good deal. So I found this 5 pound bag of coffee beans for $25 with free shipping on Amazon. So I went and bought it.
What I usually do is to put maybe 5 or 6 handfuls of coffee beans into my Vitamix and grind them that way. Then I put that ground coffee into a little bag and store it in the refrigerator.
This bag of White Monkey Coffee will last for awhile. Then I may buy other coffee at Curry's as I seen that Curry's has coffee lately. I seen a 2 pound bag of coffee for only $7.99. That is about $4 a pound which is even better than the big bag of this White Monkey Coffee, per pound that is.
I will go with the sale any day.
