I was visiting my mom and after saying good-bye, I went to my car, my 89 Nissan Sentra, but then something was not right. Yes, that is it, I forgot my glasses. That is why when I look faraway I see things fuzzy like.
Well yes, I am nearsighted, meaning I can see things that are near me, but not things that are faraway from me.
Do remember me writing when I used to work for the telephone company that I drove all the way home, then I couldn't find my glasses?
Then I just found some old glasses and I drove back to my work. Well, I found them at the cubicle that I was working at, but I find them on the floor. Well, at least it was still there when I came back.
The last time I got a new pair to glasses I ordered 2 of the exact same. You see, if I do lose my glasses I just go to my special place where I have my spare pair of glasses. Then when I do find my regular everyday glasses again, I just put back my spare glasses for the next time I need my spare glasses.
Have you ever notice when you think someone doesn't use glasses all of a sudden you see them with glasses? All that time they it seemed they didn't need glasses and you find they have glasses.
Usually they did not want to deal with contacts on that day. I never used contacts before. I guess cause I know they cost more money and I don't want to deal with the maintenance of contacts is why I never got into contacts.
Now speaking about the eye.
I remember when Jesus said, The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23.
Now if we analyse it, if therefore thine eye be single. So what does that mean? I take it that if the eye is single you and only you are looking out of that eye. Now if thine eye be evil, then it is no longer single and there is something else that is looking out of your eye besides yourself.
So what would be looking out of your eye if it be not single? It would be and evil spirit that is looking out of your eye, and that would cause your light to be darkness, that it be great darkness.
That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, with Jesus speaking, Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Matthew 7:5.
So what is this beam that Jesus is talking about? This beam is the light that is darkness, for as long as the beam is in thy eye, you can not see to take the mote out of your brother's eye.
Right here is Jesus telling you to cast out the evil spirit out of your own eye. Now lets look at Mark and the signs of the believer. As it is written, with Jesus speaking, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:17.
So right there, them that believe can cast out devils in Jesus name. If you are a believer then you can even cast out devils out of yourself in Jesus name.
Now if one would say that this is of old time and that it does not happen today, then that one saying that is not a believer, for a believer will believe everything that Jesus said.
Remember this that Jesus told us, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35.
This is why we must go over and over again that which is written. That reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:2.
That also reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. Psalm 119:99.
Let's end with some scripture, as it is written, And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. Genesis 13:14-15.
