One of the major drivers of people towards success in one endeavour or another is how they got inspired. We're in a world; and even before this modern world, where we need that inspiration as a push to work towards a goal or an action. Something to push us, to strengthen that reason to do what we need to or we're supposed to. Thankfully, this push, this inspiration comes in different forms; through the people we know or not, the things we expect or not.
As applied to people, especially, we find reasons within ourselves to do some things, to do good because we were inspired to do so by someone. Now, whether we know them from time, directly or not, we do that because they inspired us through their deeds and actions towards us. This is one of the reasons why we need to do good because the good we do is a seed sown in the heart of the receiver rather than just a monumental gesture of goodness.
I made a post recently. Now that I write this, I remember how part of it resonates with the topic in this prompt. The design was highlighting why empowerment creates lasting change. The point that relates to this topic is that empowerment encourages lasting participation by inspiring individuals to become active in shaping solutions and uplifting their communities. It's saying that when people get empowered, they tend to spread that impact, helping others also.
That's one of the powerful impacts of doing good. It tends to multiply because of what the person feels. They say that people may forget what you said but won't forget how you made them feel. It's true, and that has driven and inspired many people to do good for others as well. You can't be a grateful human who has been helped and won't see reason to offer help to someone in the same or similar or even a different situation. It's something I've learnt.
I'm a person who has been helped by God and people. I don't diminish or disregard the power of good relationships or associations. Even if the people are strangers, some of the help I've received in life that has inspired me was not from people that I knew or was familiar with. But humanity made that possible and I enjoyed the help which in turn inspired me to help others. While I try to help without any reason, I'm sometimes inspired.
I've had several of them. From school moments to others at home and other locations. Stranded and confused, even a “little” direction given is enough help to make me see the need to do the same for others. Whether a major or minor help received, the fact that someone who knew me or not did it for me leaves me with a beautiful responsibility and an inspired reason to do so for others. I've been inspired and driven by the good of others towards me to do likewise.
