Today I present to you a landscape, but a landscape filled with forest fire smoke. I call it a “Smokescape”. Smokey landscapes look best in Black & White in my opinion, therefore I’m leading with those today. The colours just don’t look all that great, but that is just the reality of what it looked like. I suppose we could have just decided to sit the day out and not go hiking into the wilderness, but that just doesn’t sound very fun. A little smoke won’t Kill you anyhow, and as it turned out, there were quite a few people out on the trail that day. This is the hiking trail to Minnestimma lakes, also known as the Larch Valley hike at Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta.
