Perhaps we were exaggerated,
dreaming of an eternal embrace,
painting the future in golden colours,
blind to the passing of time.
We believed in a woven destiny,
where time would never separate us,
yet today I see the heartbeat
of a love that has not yet worn away.
Perhaps the shadow of doubt
led us down uncertain paths,
but the fire of our darkness
has still illuminated the deserts.
If we were conservative,
it was to cherish every breath,
to not let what the heart admires
flow in rivers of love.
Because what we have goes beyond,
it is not measured in promises or ties,
it is a bond that the wind will not break,
a dance that travels among the heights.
Even though time moves quickly,
and the days are grey,
I know that in the essence of our laughter
there is the echo of a happy ‘forever’.
