This morning I walked to Maurie Jacobs Park and then took the path north along the river toward the Fred Meyer grocery store. During a lot of the walk I was thinking about tabletop RPG design stuff, because I’m considering entering the RPGenesis game jam on itch.io. It’s a tabletop RPG design activity where you’re supposed to write an RPG of at least 5000 words in 7 days, starting August 4th. It’s organized by a Portuguese-speaking community but is open to English-speaking participants taking part. Realistically I probably don’t have time for it, but Paul Czege has been talking about it on twitter and it got my wheels spinning, and now I think I have an idea for a game. So we’ll see if I dive in or not.
I did stop at one of the benches by the river for some more mindfulness practice. I had a much easier time focusing today, I think it’s because I was already in a more emotionally centered state rather than in a state of agitation.
