I woke up a bit late today so I had a hard time getting out the door at the time I wanted for my morning walk. So I decided to take one of my shorter routes, since I knew I would be spending some time playing Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and also doing a mindfulness exercise.

I walked to Alton Baker Park, spending a little more time than usual passing through the Oakway Center shopping area. In the game this is a hotspot for “Mysterious Artefact” encounters, and I recently leveled up my base level collection in that area so I need to capture a bunch of the common ones again.

Then I went to Alton Baker Park, did a loop around to stock up on spell energy, and then did some grinding in wizard challenges. Right now I have a quest to fight ten “formidable pixies” in wizarding challenges, but as far as I know there’s no way to guarantee what types of enemies you face or their power level so you just need to do a lot of them. I was especially amused that one of my enemies was an Elite Common Pixie. Nope, that’s not a formidable one.

After another loop around to restock my spell energy I sat on a bench for a few minutes doing a mindfulness exercise, since I found this to be a good way to do it when I tried yesterday. Today I was skeptical that the exercise would work well for me since I’ve had trouble with a similar one before, but I actually didn’t have the problems today that I’ve had with the other one before (basically getting wrapped up in mentally deliberating rather than just peacefully contemplating).
