Raindrops sang on the classroom windows, the small whistling of the wind slipped through the slots in the window frames, making a beat with the voices of the students.

The children were gradually entering the classroom because the cafeteria had flooded, and the entire teaching staff feared the worst for the town because of the precipitation falling from the sky, which looked abnormal.

In such a small place where rainy weather is usually just small drops, having the sky dump in bursts is disconcerting and overwhelming.

The children, in their carelessness, began to shout and play among themselves, the official announcement was that classes had been suspended for the rest of the day to keep them on their toes. Among the children was Ada, who was the only girl near the window and who, through a slit, allowed the water to fall on her left hand.

Ada was the loneliest girl in the classroom, no child approached her because of the strange appearance of her hair which was snow white without any explanation. They used to call her the old girl every time they saw her passing through the corridors or entering the bathrooms. Ada was never accepted by her classmates, she used to withdraw into herself and ignore others.

– What are you doing, you weird little girl? Old lady –that tiny, troubled voice came from Melanie, the worst punishment a child can get, a bully.

Ada returned her gaze to the little girl's face, her face was expressionless and announced that she was ignoring her. The rest of the students began to surround both girls in anticipation of a new situation.

– Aren't you going to answer? Old woman, you are disgusting. –she spat the words out of his mouth.

Ada was just 11 years old, she had survived her classroom for at least 6 years. Melanie however was the newest and had gotten her placement due to their constant bullying against Ada.

Melanie was slowly approaching her prey. Ada's eyes began to turn from emerald green to a dark black, she squeezed with her left hand the lumps of water that formed on her. As Melanie approached, she spat words laced with venom from her mouth, seeking to do more harm than she should, Ada for her part, eagerly awaited the encounter as she placed both hands in her lap.

The moment Melanie was mere steps above her opponent, Ada whispered.

– Boo.

Behind them a deafening roar echoed through the classroom, shards of glass flying around the room like exploding glass. Everyone screamed in terror as they cowered under their desks, leaving Melanie alone in front of little Ada, who was now standing on the frames of what had once been windows.

Ada watched the teachers run down the hallway toward the classroom door, but with a slight click she slammed the door shut, leaving the sound of fists crashing against it. Melanie watched her like a frightened statue, she had small scratches on her face, insignificant in the face of the cuts on Ada's back. The sky was roaring like a hungry animal.

Suddenly, wings began to unfold behind the little girl, with white plumage that now had small blood stains, giants. The classroom fell silent in shock. With a subtle movement of her hands, Ada slowly lifted Melanie's frozen body in fear a mere 30 centimeters above the floor, her pale, sweaty face looking amused at the moment.

– Aren't you going to answer? Melanie. –she repeated the words that had attacked her a few minutes ago, and Melanie shrieked with fear.

Ada dropped her from a height where she could not hurt herself anymore and smiled. She flapped her wings vigorously out of the classroom window, losing herself in the mist caused by the gusting rain, intertwining the sound of her flapping with the growling of the sky.

– ¿No vas a responder?

– ¿No vas a responder? Melanie.
