I did a little research yesterday before I went to bed. One thing always leads to another. I think I was first interested in the number of abortions that occur yearly. So sad that the numbers are increasing. We are talking of around 73 million induced abortions every year covering research from the span of four years.
Anyway, I had to also in the process try to know what induced abortion meant and that was how I was able to understand that we also have spontaneous abortion. While the latter I attributed to miscarriage, induced abortion is a personal decision to flush off the uterus at an early stage or meet an abortionist to exterminate.
Still looking into statistics, it is estimated that the birth rate is around 133 million yearly. We can see how induced abortion is even half of the annual birth rate. Add up the death rate here and you can see a whole different figure.
Ok, let's leave depth statistics for another article, I was just trying to let us get a glimpse of God's faithfulness. To start with, it is a privilege that you and I were not aborted.
Today is Thanksgiving Saturday, we have to be appreciative to God almighty. Consider how you have been kept alive every second for 24 hours and 7 days of this week.
Some plans may not have worked out as expected but with life and God’s sure promises, there is a need to hold on and hold on strong enough.
From my own end, my weekly calculations didn't summarize as I expected; failed promises, pending transactions and the entire day in day out hecticness to add to it. *$Nevertheless, if I fail to thank God, then I am the one losing. I don't know for you but God is not just a way to cover up; She is real and faithful and if He demands that we should be thankful to Him at all times, who are we to go against this.
The scriptures clearly state it, ‘Oh! Give thanks to The Lord for He is due’. There is nothing to compromise here.
So I conclude this week with a big Thank you Lord. I am still trusting you to open news doors, amend old ones if that is part of your will for me. Difficult times certainly won't last, it all adds up to make us live a life that will be both a testimony and motivation to others. You are Good Lord and yes by your grace I mean it.
