Another day in the office that really locked me in. I was just focused on how to at least reduce the workload.
Working alone in the office can be very boring. I wasn't expecting this anyway but that is how everything turned out. Our apprentice is not around and our contract worker did not show up too. I know he has been a workaholic for some days now and there is nothing bad about taking a break.
But we had something tho off the table this week and probably starting from yesterday. Nevertheless, I got a little engaged yesterday and I had to step out of the office. I got back late and I was tired. Maybe he was expecting us to push work yesterday.
So how did today go? It has taken me longer than I even expected. I was planning on hitting a target at a given time yet I wasn't able to. Working alone can be very boring, there is no one around to ignite you.
I must say our contract worker does well in this. Many times I step into the office and find him pulling out clothes at a faster pace. If he works overnight, I will see the entire time showing on how many clothes he is able to deliver.
Coming back to myself, again, how did it go? How do you feel working, correcting and repairing at once? This is the scenario I am talking about. Office machines decided to give me some wasted moments. It would have been much better if I had someone with me. Pausing to solve this challenge wasn't any enjoyable activity when considering that I have to meet up time targets.
In the process, I had to undergo some forgone alternatives. I missed my posting hours. I wasn't even thinking the time was fast moving until I realized I had met up with my time target with little achieved in-between.
I was also planning on working at night, maybe for another two hours in the office before going to bed. But as it stands, the remaining hours, I will have to use it to meet up with other activities especially online.
Adding to that, there is a need for me to get to sleep on time so that I can wake up on time to be able to push work faster tomorrow.
To conclude, let me add, has today been a wasted effort? Of course not, I have also had to learn how to crack my brain alone and get things done. I do prioritize team work but in times like this when working alone is the available option, I have to find ways to resolve the pending situation.
