source And his disciple said, master, teach us how to pray. And He (Jesus) said, when you want to pray, pray this way;
Matthew 6:9-13 “This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,[10]your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. [11]Give us today our daily bread. [12]And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13]And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ’
Really put your eyes in verse 10b; ‘your will be done’. Are you willing to comply?
I have my experiences and I would love to share them to strengthen someone out there. But before even going further, we should be conversant with this scriptures;
Matthew 22:36-37 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” [37]Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
Have you ever sat back to reflect on these scriptures? You know sometimes you need to weigh yourself and see where you need to improve upon. The issue of loving God with all has been such a big feat. We continue to pray for mercy and grace.
God wants to be in control and don't think He is doing this just for mere reasons. To even start with, he created you, doesn't He have full right on how you are supposed to operate?. To add another, do you know what is even good for you?
Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”
There is nothing to doubt here; we were created to give pleasure to God.
Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Are you thinking you deserve the upper hand in decision making?. I have been there and the experiences have been God taking over things concerning. When I felt, well, I will give him this and keep this. His response has been different, give me all. What have I learned in, we all only stewards here and the earlier one admits this, the better.
To conclude, let me add, if you want to go far with God, be ready to work with His terms and conditions. To even go further, God owes you no explanation, your duty is to keep adhering to instructions.
