Bergamot lowers cholesterol
Significant evidence suggests that Bergamot lowers both total and ldl cholesterol. Bergamot is a flavonoid which has been studied for it's potential effect on human cholesterol levels. The study has shown that in humans there is a natural statin like effect from the flavonoid. The exact dose or bioavailability is still unclear so as a supplement we only have anecdotal evidence suggesting effective dosage.
