Well, I didn't hesitate twice when I read the weekend options so I grabbed some white recycled paper and drew with graphite pencil and recreated what is my ALWAYS desired weekend.
So I recreated the penultimate weekend at the beach a month ago, where we went to enjoy a divine landscape that my family and I love.
I say the penultimate weekend because the last one would be if I left this land. Then I could say it was my last weekend.
It's just like when people say: "I'm going to have one last drink and I'm leaving", they should say: "I'm having my second to last drink and I'm leaving" because at some point that day or the following days they will have another drink.
(HAHAHAHA Venezuelan black humor)
I started my graphite art from the bottom up, I drew the palm trees which are my favorite because they give air, give serenity and peace, then I drew the sea, this time I did it a little muddy because the seas of Venezuela have been very very busy lately so I did it with different waves and a single boat at the end because there are always people working fishing on the beach where we go.
Then I drew the gear, the umbrella, towel and surfboard because they really are the most important things in an outing like this.
Many will say that the drawing may look sad because it is in black and white but who knows about beauty, art, feelings and has a very good imagination will notice more in this drawing than its colors.
I did not want to recreate people because the seas of my land are currently very rough, they have dragged people, land, houses, animals and have devastated many states of our country. So I wanted to leave at the end a message where I invite human beings to avoid being in these places in times of storms.
