An Unexpected Encounter with a Stinging Caterpillar (And How I Handled It)

Hello, Hive community!
Today is a public holiday celebrating Akwa Ibom State Creation Day, so there were no school activities on my schedule. I decided to take advantage of the free morning and head out to the farm to gather fresh ingredients for cooking.
Nature, however, had a little surprise waiting for me!
While harvesting, I accidentally brushed against a stinging caterpillar. Almost instantly, I felt a sharp, burning sensation along my side. When I looked closely, I spotted the culprit resting on a leaf right nearby.
Caterpillar stings are no joke! The tiny stinging hairs left a raised, swollen red mark on my skin that started itching and burning immediately.

I had to head back, carefully wash the spot with mild soap and water, and apply a cold compress to help soothe the irritation and bring down the swelling.
