Te traigo, el resumen de otra Jornada, de los Industriales, de La Habana. En esta ocasi贸n hablamos del cl谩sico de cl谩sicos: Avispas vs Leones.
I bring you the recap of another thrilling match between Industriales from Havana. This time, we're talking about the classic of classics: Avispas vs. Leones. [ENGLISH VERSION IS BELOW]
Delante, ten铆amos el primer Cl谩sico de la Segunda Liga 脡lite del B茅isbol Cubano. Se enfretaban, Santiago de Cuba e Industriales (los dos equipos de mayor rivalidad de la pelota cubana), en el Guillerm贸n Moncada de Santiago.
Estos encuentros, tienen tanta historia como la pelota en s铆. Casi todo cubano, conoce de la rivalidad de estos equipos. En esta ocasi贸n, se esperaba m谩s de lo mismo, la eterna lucha.
Los capitalinos, llegaban a la tierra caliente (Santiago) con bue a din谩mica y siendo los l铆deres en varios aspectos ofensivos y defensivos. Un equipo inspirado, subido en lo m谩s alto de la tabla.
En frente, unas Avispas que calleron en su enfrentamiento particular, contra los Cocodrilos de Matanzas. Con el orgullo dolido y en la quinta posici贸n, los rojos, buscan cambiar sus resultados y aprovechar la condici贸n de local.
En estas condiciones arrancaba, el primer juego entre ambas novenas. Los locales, nada m谩s empezar el juego, se pusieron delante, con varias conexiones s贸lidas. El lanzador por los Leones, no parec铆a comenzar bien.
Para suerte o desgracia, hizo aparici贸n la lluvia en el Guillerm贸n. Casi dos horas despu茅s ,se reanudaba el juego. Los Industriales, decidieron cambiar a su lanzador y traer a Marcos Ortega.
La lluvia, pareci贸 sentarles de maravilla a los azules; descontaron una carrera al reanudarse el encuetro y luego lograron ponerse delante, anotando 4 carreras, en una sola entrada. Suficiente, para ponerse delante y llevarse la victoria. Los lanzadores leones supieron mantener la ventaja y apagar el avispero en los momentos adecuados.
Los capitalinos llegaban a 4 victorias y 1 sola derrota. Compartiendo la cima con los gallos spirituanos.
El segundo enfrentamiento, empezar铆a bastante lento.
Por Santiago, lanzaba Wilber Reyna, que rindi贸 a buen nivel, en la reci茅n terminada Serie Nacional. En su anterior salida, no se mostr贸 nada dominante, en esta ocasi贸n, supo sortear la potente bater铆a azul y los mantuvo a raya, cumpliendo su labor.
Los Leones, le dieron la bola a: Raymond Figueredo. En su actuaci贸n anterior, domin贸 con tranquilidad a una de las mejores bater铆as del pa铆s, la tunera. El capitalino, estaba en su mejor noche. En el principio del juego, llen贸 las bases a base de base por bolas, pero supo meter el brazo, para evitar cualquier ofensiva de las avispas.
La manada de leones, demostrar铆a porque es de las mejores de esta reci茅n iniciada liga, logrando pisar el home en 4 ocasiones para ponerse delante.
En la quinta entrada, el lanzador capitalino, perder铆a completamente el home. A diferencia de entradas anteriores, no se hizo esperar , la rebeli贸n de las avispas.
Una base por bola, un toque de bola,un error de novato y un hit, llevaron a los santiagueros a empatar el marcador. Explotaba, el abridor capitalino. La entrada, pudo ser m谩s provechosa para las Avispas, pero el revelista, refuerzo (villaclare帽o) de Indistriales: Randy Cueto, apag贸 el incendio. El partido se encontraba igualado. Qui茅n se llevar铆a la victoria?
La s茅ptima entrada, abri贸 con par de errores para Santiago, abri茅ndole el home a los azules, tomando la ventaja nuevamente. Industriales, cambiaba a su lanzador para traer a uno de sus acomodadores m谩s usuales, pero no vino fino. En su oprtunidad de bateo; las Avispas le dieron vuelta al marcador; aprovecharon que el pitcheo de Industriales hac铆s aguas, poniendo el juego 7-5.
Industriales, logr贸 descontar, poniendo el juego 7-6, pero no fue suficiente; la nave azul ca铆a derrotada.
Llegaba la segunda derrota para los Leones, cayendo al segundo puesto de la Liga. Empat贸, Santiago,la subserie particular (1-1), se pon铆a picante el cl谩sico de cl谩sicos.
Qui茅n saldr铆a delante? Los Leones, sobrevivir铆an al avispero? O las avispas sacar铆an provecho de su condici贸n de local? Veremos a continuaci贸n....
El tercer juego, no se pudo jugar, debido al mal tiempo en el Oriente de Cuba. Nuevamente, tocaba doble partido.
En esta ocasi贸n, ambos partidos ser铆n a 7 entradas (debido a que el primer juego [tercero de la subserie], no hab铆a comenzado; en este caso, ambos son a 7 entradas)
Iniciando el primer juego del d铆a, los Leones, empezaron a rugiendo y anotaron 2 carreras. El juego, se caracteriz贸 por un dominio del lanzador capitalino: Pavel Hern谩ndez y la falta de conexi贸n de los Leones. En la sexta entrada, las Avispas de Santiago le abrieron fuego al abridor de los Industriales que ya mostraba s铆ntomas de cansancio.
El primer hit y la necesidad de asegurar la victoria, trajo como consecuencia, la sustituci贸n del abridor azul. A la postre, esta acci贸n ser铆a el comienzo de la ca铆da de la nave azul.
Ni el relevista (Novato del A帽o): Rafael Perdomo, ni el cerrador: Juan X. Pe帽alver, pudieron frenar la rebeli贸n santiaguera; unida a un error de la defensa, propici贸 que los rojos, anotaran hasta 6 carreras en la entrada. Suficientes, para darle la victoria a los del Oriente. Poniendo el juego 2-6
Las Avispas de Santiago de Cuba, se pon铆an delante de en la subserie particular (1-2). Los Leones de Industriales ya no pod铆an llevarse la subserie particular y se bajan de la cima, ocupando la segunda plaza de la Liga.
Media hora despu茅s, comenzaba, el cuarto juego de la subserie entre Leones y Avispas ( segundo partido de la jornada)
Las Avispas, se llevar铆an la subserie particular? O los Leones, lograr铆an empatar la subserie? Sobrevir铆an al temido Guillerm贸n Moncada? Todo quedaba listo para la 煤ltima batalla del primer cl谩sico de la Liga.
Los Industriales le complicaron la primera entrada al lanzador santiaguero, despu茅s de 2 out, pero fue m谩s humo que fuego. En la segunda entrada, sucedi贸 lo mismo, de esta manera se planteaba, un buen duelo de pitcheo, entre Osvaldo Acu帽a (por Santiago de Cuba) y Remberto Barreto (por Industriales)
En la cuarta entrada, el abridor santiaguero se complic贸 y llen贸 las bases de leones, sin outs. Acu帽a, logr贸 un importante ponche contra Alom谩, luego vendr铆a Christian Rodr铆guez (reci茅n fichado por los Dragones de Chunichi de Jap贸n), el cual, conect贸 por encima de Tercera Base, poniendo de esta manera el juego 2-0 para los de la capital.
Luego ser铆a el turno de Alberto Calder贸n (JC) que con un elevado a los jardines, tra铆a la tercera (pero que no fue v谩lida, porque sacaron en tercera base a Christian Rodr铆guez) mala jugada a la ofensiva de los azules. Se manten铆a 2-0, para los Leones. Se repetir铆a la historia del primer encuentro?
En la quinta entrada, el jardinero capitalino: Ariel Hechevarr铆a, abri贸 con largo Jonr贸n por el Jard铆n Central, en la quinta entrada. Se pon铆a el juego 3-0 (la mayor ventaja de la jornada)
Las acciones, no se deten铆an, vendr铆a Mateo conectando, hit simple y luego el Bateador Designado y refuerzo granmense: Raico Santo conect贸 doble, impulsando a Mateo y por un mal tiro anot贸 el mismo bateador.
Se pon铆a el encuentro 5-0. Explotaba Osvaldo Acu帽a. El relevista santiaguero, pudo sofocar a la inspirada manada, pero el mal estaba hecho. Le quedaban dos oportunidades a las Avispas, para descontar 5 carreras. En la 7ma entrada (煤ltima de este encuentro) lograron descontar, pero no fue para nada suficiente
Terminaba el 煤ltimo encuentro de este cl谩sico, con victoria azul. Se repart铆an honores en el Guillerm贸n Moncada. Ahora toca esperar el pr贸ximo enfrentamiento, entre ambos, para ver si hay definici贸n.
Pr贸ximo enfrentamiento: El retorno a casa. Los Leones de Industriales, retornan a la madriguera, al coloso del Cerro: el Estadio Latinoamericano en La Habana. Enfrentar谩n a los l铆deres de la Liga: los Gallos spirituanos. Enfrentamiento de Primero contra Segundo lugar y como siempre, terminadas las acciones, tendr谩n el respectivo resumen de la subserie por ac谩 馃槈

Consideraciones finales
En esta ocasi贸n, los Industriales, volvieron a ser los mismos , su pitcheo de relevo fall贸. Es algo que el cuerpo de lanzadores capitalinos, no logra resolver (aunque los refuerzos han disminuido este problema)
La bater铆a azul, nutrida de los refuerzos, ha demostrado ser una de las m谩s temidas, pero a煤n dejan muchos corredores en base , bajando la afectividad, por lo que tienen que producir el doble obs茅rvese la producci贸n de hit de lls leones durante la subserie y las pocas carreras que pudieron producir en contraste.
La defensa, sigue siendo horrible , no es entendible que en esta liga est茅n los mejores peloteros y se est茅n cometiendo una media de 4 errores en cada juego. Pero es l贸gico, cuando el nivel y la preparaci贸n ha bajando a nivel general.
Hay que celebrar la actuaci贸n de los orientales, que mejoraron su actuaci贸n en la liga a, escalando posici贸n y gan谩ndole 2 partidos a uno de los equipos llamado a discutir la Final. Las Avispas supieron aprovechar las pocas ocasiones y libertades que tuvieron.
A煤n carecen de efectividad y su bullpen no est谩 siendo lo que fue en la Serie Nacional. Pero si es bueno el s铆ntoma de mejor铆a que mostraron , as铆 le suman competitividad a esta Liga

ENGLISH VERSION
We had ahead of us the first Classic of the Second Elite League of Cuban Baseball. It was a showdown between Santiago de Cuba and Industriales (the two teams with the biggest rivalry in Cuban baseball) at Santiago's Guillerm贸n Moncada stadium.
These matches have as much history as the game itself. Almost every Cuban knows about the rivalry between these teams. On this occasion, we expected more of the same, the eternal battle.
The folks from the capital arrived in the hot land of Santiago with good momentum, leading in various offensive and defensive aspects. They were an inspired team, sitting at the top of the standings.
On the other side, we had the Avispas who fell in their previous matchup against the Matanzas Crocodiles. With their pride hurt and sitting in fifth place, the red team was looking to change their results and take advantage of the home field.
Under these circumstances, the first game between both teams began. Right from the start, the home team took the lead with several solid hits. The pitcher for the Leones didn't seem to have a good start.
For better or worse, rain made an appearance at Guillerm贸n. Almost two hours later, the game resumed. Industriales decided to change their pitcher and brought in Marcos Ortega.
The rain seemed to work wonders for the blue team; they scored a run when the game resumed and then managed to take the lead, scoring 4 runs in a single inning. It was enough to get ahead and secure the victory. The Leones pitchers knew how to maintain the lead and quiet down the Avispas when it mattered most.
The folks from the capital reached 4 wins and only 1 loss, sharing the top spot with the Spirituano roosters.
The second matchup started off quite slow.
Wilber Reyna took the mound for Santiago, who had performed well in the recently concluded Serie Nacional. In his previous outing, he didn't show much dominance, but this time he managed to navigate through the powerful blue lineup and kept them at bay, doing his job effectively.
The Leones handed the ball to Raymond Figueredo. In his previous performance, he calmly dominated one of the best lineups in the country, the team from Las Tunas. The capital pitcher was having a great night. In the early stages of the game, he loaded the bases with walks but managed to buckle down and prevent any offensive breakthrough from the Avispas.
The pride of the Leones showed why they are one of the best teams in this newly started league, scoring 4 runs to take the lead.
In the fifth inning, the capital pitcher completely lost control of the strike zone. Unlike the previous innings, the rebellion of the Avispas didn't take long to arrive.
A walk, a bunt, a rookie error, and a hit allowed the Santiago team to tie the game. The starting pitcher for Industriales was falling apart. The inning could have been more productive for the Avispas, but relief pitcher Randy Cueto, a reinforcement from Villa Clara for Industriales, extinguished the fire. The game was now tied. Who would come out victorious?
The seventh inning started with a couple of errors by Santiago, opening the door for the blue team to take the lead once again. Industriales made a pitching change, bringing in one of their usual setup pitchers, but he struggled. In their turn at bat, the Avispas turned the score around, taking advantage of the leaking pitching from Industriales, making it 7-5.
Industriales managed to narrow the gap, making it 7-6, but it wasn't enough. The blue team suffered a defeat.
It was the second loss for the Leones, dropping them to second place in the league. Santiago tied the head-to-head series (1-1), making the classic of classics even more intense.
Who would come out on top? Would the Leones survive the Avispas' attack? Or would the Avispas take advantage of their home field?
The third game couldn't be played due to bad weather in Eastern Cuba. Once again, a doubleheader was scheduled.
This time, both games would be 7 innings long (since the third game of the series hadn't started yet; in this case, both games are 7 innings).
In the first game of the day, the Leones roared and scored 2 runs. The game was characterized by the dominance of the capital pitcher, Pavel Hern谩ndez, and the lack of connection from the Leones' hitters. In the sixth inning, the Santiago Avispas launched an attack against the Industriales starter, who was showing signs of fatigue.
The first hit and the need to secure the victory led to the substitution of the blue team's starter. Ultimately, this action would be the beginning of the downfall for the blue team.
Neither the reliever (Rookie of the Year) Rafael Perdomo nor the closer Juan X. Pe帽alver could stop the Santiago rebellion. Combined with a defensive error, the red team scored 6 runs in the inning, enough to secure the victory.
The Santiago de Cuba Avispas took the lead in the head-to-head series (1-2). The Industriales Leones could no longer win the head-to-head series and dropped from the top spot, occupying the second position in the league.
Thirty minutes later, the fourth game of the series between the Leones and the Avispas began (the second game of the day).
Would the Avispas take the series? Or would the Leones manage to tie it up? Could they survive the dreaded Guillerm贸n Moncada? Everything was set for the final battle of the first classic in the league.
The Industriales gave the Santiago pitcher a hard time in the first inning, but it was more smoke than fire. The same thing happened in the second inning, setting up a good pitching duel between Osvaldo Acu帽a (representing Santiago de Cuba) and Remberto Barreto (representing Industriales).
In the fourth inning, the Santiago pitcher got into trouble and loaded the bases with no outs for the Leones. Acu帽a managed an important strikeout against Alom谩, and then Christian Rodr铆guez (recently signed by the Chunichi Dragons in Japan) came up and hit over third base, making it 2-0 for the capital team.
Next up was Alberto Calder贸n (JC), who hit a fly ball to the outfield, bringing in the third run (but it was not valid because they caught Christian Rodr铆guez at third base), a bad offensive play by the blue team. The score remained 2-0 for the Leones. Would history repeat itself from the first game?
In the fifth inning, the capital's outfielder Ariel Hechevarr铆a hit a long home run to center field, making it 3-0 (the biggest lead of the game).
The action didn't stop there. Mateo came up and hit a single, and then the designated hitter and Granma reinforcement, Raico Santo, hit a double, driving in Mateo and scoring himself due to a bad throw. The score was now 5-0. Acu帽a was taken out of the game. The Santiago reliever managed to calm down the inspired Leones, but the damage had been done. The Avispas had two chances left to reduce the 5-run deficit. In the 7th inning (the last of the game), they managed to score, but it wasn't nearly enough.
The last game of this classic ended with a victory for the blue team. The honors were shared at Guillerm贸n Moncada. Now we have to wait for the next matchup between the two teams to see if there will be a definitive outcome.
Next matchup: Back to home base. The Leones de Industriales return to their den, the mighty Estadio Latinoamericano in Havana. They will face the league leaders, the Spirituan Gallos. Final considerations
Once again, the Industriales proved to be the same old team, with their relief pitching failing. It's a problem that the capital's pitching staff can't seem to solve (although the reinforcements have reduced this issue).
The Industriales' batting lineup, bolstered by reinforcements, has proven to be one of the most feared, but they still leave too many runners on base, reducing their effectiveness and forcing them to work twice as hard.
The defense continues to be horrible. It's hard to understand how in this league, with the best players, an average of 4 errors are being committed in every game. But it's logical when the overall level and preparation have dropped.
We must celebrate the performance of the eastern teams, who improved their performance in the league, climbing positions and winning two games against one of the teams expected to contend for the Finals. The Avispas took advantage of the few opportunities and liberties they had.
They still lack effectiveness, and their bullpen is not what it used to be in the Serie Nacional. But the positive sign of improvement they showed adds competitiveness to this league.
