So in recent weeks I’ve been much less active on my blogs, and there’s a pretty exciting reason why. I’ve joined the US Navy!
I’m genuinely excited about this next chapter. A part of me always felt like this path would come at some point in my life. It just feels right. Military service has been part of my family’s story, and out of all the branches, the Navy felt like the most natural fit for me.
It’s a big commitment, and I’m approaching it seriously. I want to serve, and I also want to grow through the structure and challenge it brings.
The process of joining was more intense than I expected. There were multiple steps, evaluations, and a lot of waiting, and it all became very real very quickly. I expected it to be serious, but experiencing it firsthand made it feel different.
I took the ASVAB and ended up with a score of 77, which I’m proud of. It gave me a range of job options, and after looking through them, I chose Air Traffic Control.
ATC immediately stood out to me because of the responsibility and focus it requires, and the idea of contributing to aviation safety really resonated with me. I understand it will be a challenging field to learn, but I’m committed to putting in the work.
The moment everything became official felt surreal. It’s something I won’t forget. I’m grateful for the opportunity and aware of the seriousness of what comes next.
For now, I’m focused on taking things step by step and preparing for the journey ahead.
This feels like a major turning point in my life. A new chapter is beginning, and I’m ready to see where it leads.
Thank God!!!
