Fear pulsed through her as her fingertips let it go of the cool metal railing. As she fell, she closed her eyes, preparing for the contact, to feel herself be devoured by the unforgiving waters below. She finally accepted what she was. Her long hair, ripping at the wind. But her wings unfolded and spread far in the wind. She flew. High above the clouds. To live with the birds. Because she was tired of seeing the world.
