As the soft light of the afternoon slanted through the window and fell onto the bed, Tisha was feeling exhausted. She felt as if there wasn't a drop of strength left in her body. She was three months pregnant. She had never imagined that these days could be so draining. A strange nausea had been with her since morning, and then there was this overwhelming fatigue—together it felt like her body was no longer under her control.
Tisha leaned back on the bed and gently placed her hand on her belly. From the outside, nothing seemed amiss, but she knew that inside, a tiny life was slowly developing. All of this fatigue was, in fact, part of that little miraculous creation. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply. At that moment, Tisha's husband, Aryan, walked into the room. He had a glass of warm milk and some fruit in his hands. Seeing Tisha's tired face, Aryan sat down beside the bed without saying a word. He gently ran his hand over Tisha's forehead. Aryan spoke softly, "You look really tired, don’t you?" Tisha opened her eyes and tried to smile as she said, "Yes, I really can’t keep my body going. It feels like I've been sleeping all day." Aryan laughed and said, "The doctor has said that the body will be more tired during the first three months.
Someone is working tirelessly inside, growing for twenty-four hours; the mother has to feel a bit tired too! Don't worry at all, I’ll take care of everything. Just take care of yourself." Aryan's words seemed to erase all the fatigue within Tisha in an instant. She sat up and took the glass of milk in her hand. Looking out the window, she thought that this fatigue was actually a strangely beautiful gift. Hidden behind this exhaustion was the sweetest feeling in the world. Placing her hand on her belly, Tisha silently said, "You grow up healthy, my dear, I am willing to endure this little fatigue a thousand times for you."
