Have you felt the gut-wrenching, heart-tearing pain of betrayal? Have you heard the shattering of your dreams and soul? Have you watched as the tears darkened the ground below you as you thought of those you have lost? Have you felt the sting of the breaking of your childhood? Have you survived through all of this? What about thriving through the agony? Have you found the light that only exists in the darkness? Have you found the mindful smile from the compassion and love you gained for all mankind through your suffering?
I'm a firm believer that if you have not been desperate enough to want to take a blade to your wrists or swan dive from the balcony of your apartment you have not fully lived. The light that shines within you will only be seen when there is no light around you. The love you find in this desolate darkness is the most beautiful light you will ever possess. It can not be taken from you. When you feed the flame of this light you will become a lighthouse to bring all those that are lost home.
I call myself the cynical optimist, because of what I've seen and the agony I've suffered. I have an understanding of this world that so many can relate to. I'm thankful for everything that has happened to me. I know these horrors have brought me compassion and unconditional love. I no longer believe in evil and I only believe that the universe or God or whatever you want to call it. Is right on time. Through these trails, I have found joy and elation. Through speaking up about my childhood rape, torture and devaluation I have found a key to unlocking the chains of being numb. I have found the bolt cutter to break the ancestral chain that weighs down our souls.
I am the Cynical Optimist and I'm on the wonderous, joyfully painful, the lonely awe-inspiring journey of life. I've been given the gift of understanding and seeing through the false vail. I've seen to your inner spirits, hearts, and thoughts and I have found a deep love for you all. I hope I can help you accept your pains and be proud of who you are and what you have overcome.
