Procedure:
Start by using a pole or a stick and piece of rope.
Wrap one time the rope around the pole (or in my case a pen) and cross over the standing part of the line.
Next step is to tie wrap it another time but when coming around like go over the crossing part of the line.
If you pull you will see that it will hold.
This knot it is used to attach a rope to a rod, pole, or another rope.
It has a common usage while sailing is for rigging a stopper to relax the tension on a sheet so that a jammed winch or block can be cleared
Procedure:
Make one round turn then another under it and put the rope over the one that is down.
Now just pull the rope up inside the last turn that you made:
This hitch is used to tie a line to a pole, spar, or railing. It will not slip easily and it is a super fast knot used almost all the time in my line of work.
Procedure
Start my wrapping the rope around the pole and then pass over it
Then you pull the rope up and inside the last loop. ( As you can see there is a lot of similarities between these knots)
