Hola a todos los miembros de la comunidad #Needleworkmonday. Les comparto este proyecto con la técnica de macramé, considerada como un arte de tejer y crear objetos usando nuestras manos como hamacas, cortinas, cinturones, tapices, portamaceteros colgantes, llaveros, bolsos, collares y pulseras usando nudos decorativos como nudo plano, espiral, festón, alondra, franciscano, entre otros. Para este proyecto usé hilo encerado que permite hacer el nudo firme y bien definido, además de ser resistente al agua. Para dicha pulsera en su totalidad apliqué nudo plano para el tejido principal y para cerrar la pulsera nudo plano corredizo. Ahora los invito a que me acompañen a elaborar la pulsera.

✨MATERIALS//MATERIALES✨

• Blue waxed thread.
• Heart-shaped charm.
• Scissors.
• Lighter.

• Hilo encerado color azul.
• Dije en forma de corazón.
• Tijera.
• Encendedor.

✨STEPS//PASOS✨

• Cut 2 pieces of string, each 40 cm long, for the base, and 2 pieces, each 80 cm long, for the weaving.
• Join the two base strings, insert the heart charm, pull it halfway through, and tie a simple knot at each end.

• Cortar 2 hilos de 40 cm para la base y 2 hilos de 80 cm para el tejido.
• Juntar los dos hilos base, introducir el dije de corazón, llevarlo hasta la mitad y hacer un nudo sencillo en cada extremo.

• Secure it to the workboard. Then proceed to tie the flat knot as follows: with the right-hand thread, make a P by passing over the base thread; with the left-hand thread, pass under the base thread, coming out through the belly of the P; pull both threads tight. Next, make an inverted P with the left thread; repeat the procedure. Make the flat knot 30 times.

• Sujetar a la tabla de trabajo. Luego se procede a hacer el nudo plano de la siguiente forma: con el hilo de la derecha, hacer una P pasando por encima del hilo base; con el hilo de la izquierda, pasar por debajo del hilo base, saliendo por la panza de la P; tirar ambos hilos. Luego, hacer una P invertida con el hilo de la izquierda; repetir el procedimiento. Hacer 30 veces el nudo plano.

• Repeat the process on the other side to complete the length of the bracelet.

• Repetir el proceso al otro lado para completar el largo de la pulsera.

• Cut off the excess material and seal it with a lighter.

• Cortar el material sobrante y sellar con el encendedor.

• Now, we’ll close the bracelet with a piece of string about 25 cm long, secure it with tape, and tie the flat slipknot described earlier. Tie 6 flat knots. Cut off the excess string and seal the ends with a lighter. Tie simple knots in the hanging strands.

• Ahora, procedemos a cerrar la pulsera con un hilo de unos 25 cm, sujetar con cinta adhesiva, aplicar el nudo plano corredizo, antes explicado. Hacer 6 nudos planos. Cortar el sobrante y sellar con el encendedor. Hacer nudos sencillos en los hilos colgantes.
