Hello my dear friends and readers!

Today I will show you how to make a bowline knot !

But what is the purpose of a bowline knot?

The bowline simple knot used to form a fixed loop at the end of a rope.
It has the virtues of being both easy to tie and it is easy to untie after being subjected to a load.
It is one of the four basic maritime knots, the other three are figure-eight knot, reef knot and clove hitch witch I will show you in a different post.

Let us start with a normal bowline knot:

The bowline is tied by forming a loop in the standing part and passing the end through this loop, around the standing part above it and then back through the loop .

Now I will show you how to make a water bowline .
The purpose of a water bowline is to create a more stable and strong knot that will not get stuck after being soaked into water like some other common knots.

To make a water bowline is simple , just start making a normal bowline and then just add a second small loop, through which the end of the rope is passed to add more security to the bowline.
