I picked eight more mishandled American Silver Eagles, from the Local Coin Shop, which filled the Mint Tube, from yesterday's purchase. Today's eight ASEs were six 1996 & two 1997. But what I really wanted to mention was where they came from and why they were mishandled.
The Local Coin Shop Dealer told me, that his original purchase, of these ASE, was 4,000 coins. I found about eight key date 1996s, in about 200 remaining ASE, after he sold most. There could have been hundreds. Makes the BU population less. These ASE were mishandled because the seller, a coin change handler, from a company that manages, coin change machines in banks, grocery stores, etc... received them in change.
The most unbelievable part of the story is that the customers received only $1 for the coins! Thanks for looking and keep stacking.
