Afternoon everyone…..
The Nor’easter is still here and it’s been hitting pretty dam hard. I’m sure that the news is covering it around the country with how much of an impact it’s had to the northeast.
New York City is without power currently due to flooding underground. The subway system is limited due to flooding on the platforms from the water pouring down the stairs.
My area has been pounded with rain and high winds and it’s not even close to over yet. This is supposed to continue through the morning and slowing until the mid afternoon.
There are trees down everywhere, there are many road closures due to flooding. There are rivers flowing in the streets, because the storm drains can’t handle it.
Fortunately we still have power and we haven’t taken on water yet in the basement.
On a different note…..
Appreciating fine things is something most people overlook. They enjoy them but have no real understanding of what it takes to make them. Which not only applies to what I do but to hand poured silver as well……
Most people assume that there is some kind of mold for these pours. That is true for maybe twenty to thirty percent of my stuff. The rest are done with impressions in delft clay. Which is a very tedious.
This piece is from Ray Brockman a long time OG of the silvergoldstacker community. He started pouring silver under the name Toxic Bullion. I have many pieces from him as well. I have probably shown off a few before.
