I picked up this Modern US Commemorative Silver Dollar, after the recent Precios Metals' spike, a few days ago. It is a United States of America 90% Silver Dollar. It is struck from the identical coin planchet/blank as the Morgan, Peace Silver Dollars, at the US Mint. There are many different types of these Silver Dollars on the secondary market, such as the Local Coin Shops, in one's neighborhood. The US Mint is now striking these Beauties in .999 fine Silver. Keep in mind that they are not, one Troy ounce. The actual Silver content is around .7734 Troy ounce. Just over 3/4 Troy ounce. Incidentally, two Half Dollars, for some reason, are struck with only .7234, or almost a dime's worth, Silver content. But, that's another story. The price was two of these $10 fiat notes or $20 USD.
