I guess I have no talent in baking T.T
It’s has been about 2 years since the first time I’m doing baking. My first made was a non baked mousse cake, it was for mothers’ day. After that, I have tried several types of cake. Lately, I found my biggest interest in making sponge cake or birthday cake.
Sometimes, maybe yesterday, I just wanna do other types of cake. At first, I planned to do mille crepe, I made this before, probably 4 times. The crepe wasn’t as thin as I wish, which made me upset.
The crepe wasn’t prefect, with many holes, this was very frustrating. In the end, I came up with blanket cake instead of mille crepe cake.
Let’s compare with the blanket cake I made in July of 2020, it was matcha flavor. For the cream, I have both original and oreo flavors. My parents prefer the latter.
The blanket I made yesterday was just pure chocolate, you can find chocolate indulgence here. I just tried one just now, shared with my mum. The crepe/blanket was too thick which made it a bit hard, it was supposed to be softer, and easier to chew or cut. The cream was nice for me, maybe some people like softer cream, I like harder cream. It will taste like ice cream after chilling for some time.
Overall, it was quite a waste of raw material because the mille crepe didn’t match well with the cream, me and my mum didn’t like it.
Don’t worry, I will still eat it even it wasn’t taste nice.
