In my last post I talked about how my account is in profit an I no longer need to use Hive for in game purchases. This is still true, however since I am in profit I have decided to allow myself (that sounds strange but I do limit my own activities) to make some purchases with Hive for this little experiment.
I don't have a set budget but I won't put more than 100 Hive into this particular experiment, unless I am making profit, then I will leverage my profits. This budget is not set in stone and is mostly based on the liquid Hive I have available and what I earn weekly etc. This is play money, so I am gonna play with it.
So, what am I doing differently? I am buying seeds. Specific seeds and mostly seeds I have a shit ton of already. I am buying them for one reason really. They are stupid cheap right now.
I am speculating that once the land rentals are active seeds will be pretty hard to get after a few weeks. I won't get into my feelings on the current seed distribution as I have already expressed that.
Seeds will be hard to get because of the "feast or famine" model that is currently being used. Seed drops will become even less frequent (they are introducing "plant death" which will help keep plots clear but, , in my opinion, will not be enough to counteract the issues with the current seed distribution).
Right now certain seeds are a crazy bargain because the market is flooded and rentals are not active (less people playing and lands going unused). It's definitely a buyer's market and I'll be taking advantage of these prices.
Don't worry I am not a big enough player to monopolize and buy up all the seeds just to price gouge (I wouldn't do that if I could). But I do see a way to make some good profits right now if I am patient and it all works out. I will most likely give away a good amount of these seeds in upcoming giveaways on my curation account

I am just experimenting with this and it could all change in an instant. Worst case scenario I have a bunch of seeds to giveaway, which is the case now :)
