I Tried the HIVE–STEEM Hedge Strategy for a Month || Check the Results
Regarding hedge trading and the strategy that I have been discussing for the past few weeks, today I am sharing its result, showing how I am making profit from #HIVE and #STEEM and how a series of successful trades is continuing.
There are around eight to nine hedge trades and all of them are successful. Among these I booked one loss but that was because I got a new chance and I did not want to wait so I closed it and traded on a new coin which was also successful.
I have already explained about this hedge trading, what my strategy is and how I am doing it. I am not going to go too deep into it. You can find this strategy in my blogs but now I will give a small summary so that you can understand the basic idea of it.
This strategy is something like this.. I do hedge trading between HIVE and STEEM. If I go long on HIVE then at the same time I also open a short position on STEEM so that there is a hedge. As soon as there is a price difference between these two, that price difference becomes my profit side.
Especially my trades are more profitable when I see that one of the crypto coins, either HIVE or STEEM, pumps well while the other one does not pump as much. So I short the one that pumps more and long the one that pumps less.
HEDGE TRADING RESULTS
In this way I get a very good opportunity to get a price difference.
Apart from this, another strategy is that now I also want to do conversion between #HIVE and #STEEM because both are crypto coins from the same ecosystem and both have similar price movements. So here you can increase your number of coins with a good price difference gap.
In this strategy what you have to do is that whatever amount you have invested, you have to keep 50 percent in HIVE and 50 percent in STEEM.
Whenever you see a price difference of 2 to 3 percent between them, what you will do is move 20 percent of the amount into the coin that has not pumped.
Similarly if it pumps more this conversion will continue. And when the other coin starts recovering again you will keep bringing back the amount that you converted into that coin.
In this way your quantity of coins will keep increasing and in this way, you can also make passive income while staying invested all the time.
Now because I do not have such a large amount (only 35$) that I can make a good decent profit still, if you look at these images I have made around 10 to 12 dollars profit from these trades which is very good. So I thought I should also continue sharing the results with you people.
Now my next attempt is the conversion option along with the hedge. That means I will continue conversion between HIVE and STEEM.
In fact I want to stay invested only in HIVE for the long term and at the same time I want to keep getting a source of passive income.
I Need Advice from HIVE Veterans
Now I want to ask you people for advice. I want to ask my HIVE users that if I power down my 50K HP and do the same work through conversion on Binance, will this ecosystem allow me to do this?
Because I do not want to sell HIVE coins. Instead I will stay invested all the time whether it is in the ecosystem or whether it is on Binance. My only purpose is to keep increasing my quantity of coins.
So I want to power down these 50000 HP that I currently have in delegated form and after powering down I want to take it to Binance and continue doing HIVE and STEEM conversions.
If I am getting around 1 to 1.5 percent profit here then there I can easily get 5 to 10 percent profit doing conversion. This is the huge profit difference...
So I am confused about this. If the ecosystem and my friends allow me to do this then I will power down and start working on this because this is a very profitable strategy. (My intention is definitely not to sell my HIVE. Instead I want to increase my HIVE quantity there.)
Remember if you want to test these strategies, first check them with a small amount. Once you are satisfied with the results then you can trade with a larger amount.
