If we are talking about short term rentals, we are talking about Airbnb.Airbnb-rebrand-by-DesignStudio_dezeen_468_8.jpg

What is Airbnb?
Airbnb is a platform to bring house owner and accommodation seekers together.
Nowadays it operates worldwide and worth billions of dollars.

History of Airbnb explained until 2014:

What is the problem?
The problem is the "Service Fee". That's the way how Airbnb is making money. The fee varies but here is an example for San Francisco:
We want to live like a king so let's take a nice room in downtown for just as 150$ a night. We want to stay 10 nights and have to pay 1500$. This time the owner wants a cleaning fee of 70$. So the owner will receive 1570$.
But we don't pay 1570$. Why?
+Tax: 229
+Service Fee: 211$
We pay 2010$.

Solution?
(As always) Blockchain!
If you use the blockchain to connect house owner and accommodation seekers, you are able to build a decentralized platform without fees! You pay the house owner + tax and nothing more!

This is just an idea and a thought of myself but after a little research I actually found some ICOs who are dealing with this problem such as "The bee token (https://www.beetoken.com)" or "CryptoBnB (https://cryptobnb.io)" .
I can not tell you if one them will be the next big thing, but I can tell you that this is an area where blockchain will change something.
Always DYOR!
