During the first nineteen days of September, I was in the Algarve, in southern Portugal, where I had the chance to visit some of my family, enjoy a vacation, and expand my collection of street art photographs.

This piece of street art Iām sharing today is very simpleāat least in terms of sizeābut highly symbolic because of where itās displayed. Santa Luzia, in the municipality of Tavira, is a town where tourism and fishing coexist side by side, known for octopus as its main delicacy.
On the main street, which serves as the boundary between civilization and the Ria Formosa, there are countless restaurants that have earned the town the title of āOctopus Capital.ā The best in the Algarve. And, perhaps, the best octopus in the world.
This graffiti, which represents the local maritime identity, is painted on an electrical distribution cabinetāa transformer stationālocated in an urban area near the town center.
