On most days, Cacilda Fumo travels the streets of Maputo, Mozambique on foot in search of people who have stopped HIV treatment. She doesn’t give up until she finds them, because she has been in their shoes.
I believe the more we empathize with other people, the harder it is to turn away when they’re suffering. Cacilda is an example of what’s possible when we expand our circles of caring.
