The countries that have been able to advance culturally and intellectually are the countries whose political leadership was benefiting from the ideas of thinkers who had a different ideology from the prevailing in their era.
A person, no matter how great his ideas, will not be able to change anything in society if there is no political support for him. The idea that someone presents his ideas, people hear his words, and society changes smoothly, this is a fictional idea that did not occur in history in any era.
Change comes through the real power and desire of those with power and influence.
In my opinion, America is an example of my words. The founding fathers of America who laid the foundations of American society used the philosophy of modern Europe.
Martin Luther who objected to the actions of the Catholic Church, we would not have heard of him if he had not received political support from the European princes who were at odds with the church. Before Martin Luther, there were people before him who objected to various matters within the church, but they did not find political support so that he could change the existing situation.
What I mean is that no one is under the illusion that any idea, no matter how great and logical, can impose itself on society without the support of a strong party that has influence on society.
