Portrait Of Fall
Looking out my window
In October's golden world around,
I see a beauty unexcelled
A truly lovely sight.
Leaves are saying silent good-byes
As they come dancing down
To make a nature's carpet
Of yellow, orange, red, and brown.
Mountain peaks, now turned to white,
Forewarn of wintry chills,
While trees, like silver rivers,
Wind their way up across the hills.
