Hello Steemians,
My name is Brad Kernus (cryptobk). I've lived and worked in the Washington DC metro area most of my life residing in beautiful western Loudoun County, VA known as the fastest growing and wealthiest county in the nation. Being west of the nation’s capital and east of the Blue Ridge Mountains the county has the most beautiful rolling hills, horse and wine country I’ve ever seen.
The majority of my career has been in Information Technology (IT) sales, mostly selling various types of software to the federal government and mostly to the Department of Defense. For more details check out my LinkedIn profile and connect if you’d like.

In the past few years I've had a growing interest in Bitcoin and of late that interest has increased and expanded into blockchain and cryptocurrency. Like a lot of us that interest has resulted in more education and like many others found the topics to be deep and wide.
As part of my exploration I came across Steemit. At first it seemed interesting but really did not think much or spend a lot of time on it. I then decided to sign up and check it out. The first thing I learned about Steemit is don’t lose your password. I became frustrated and after failed recovery attempts moved on to their things cryptocurrency. Then I circled back and started over with a new account. Since then I have been learning everything I can about all things Steem and have become fascinated for a number of reasons.
Beyond being an educational opportunity in a field I have strong interest I began to see a new way to network, meet people and help others. I've learned from years of being in sales that if you want long term success you have to do something you enjoy and where you can help others. That is the true potential and source of my interest in Steemit. If I can help others in some small way, even if to share some lessons learned, that alone will be a win. If I can help nurture and build the Steemit community, even better.
