Hello Friends,

Reading may not be fun at all times. Especially if it's textbooks :P

But there are books that once you start reading you can't put down and your life might be changed forever.

When I was young I thought philosophy was something to be read in big old books by big old people in Universities.

But Philosophy is everywhere. Good or bad, you get to decide.

I recommend 2 Novels for you to consider reading. They are fun to read. Both are under 160 pages. They have philosophical storylines. Both novels kind of revolves around the existential crisis a person faces.

  1. Siddhartha by Herman Hesse(152 pages): "In the novel, Siddhartha, a young man, leaves his family for a contemplative life, then, restless, discards it for one of the flesh. He conceives a son, but bored and sickened by lust and greed, moves on again. Near despair, Siddhartha comes to a river where he hears a unique sound. This sound signals the true beginning of his life—the beginning of suffering, rejection, peace, and, finally, wisdom." -Goodreads.com

  2. The Stranger by Albert Camus(160 pages): "Through the story of an ordinary man unwittingly drawn into a senseless murder on an Algerian beach, Camus explored what he termed "the nakedness of man faced with the absurd." First published in English in 1946; now in a new translation by Matthew Ward."
