Or stag beetle. I’ve met him on Saturday in a combined hardwood and coniferous wood when he was almost crushed. It’s beautiful and harmless (if you don’t put your finger where you are no supposed to :)) I’m glad I saved him because I found out that he has a life circle of 4-6 years. Although they say he doesn’t move when you approach as a defense mechanism, mine was very energetic.
